213 MONTREAL ST

AND HOW WE GOT HERE

FROM THE MARKET AND POP-UPS TO BRICK AND MORTAR

Pizza Monster started as a backyard hobby and a trip to Italy that grew into an obsession. We took our small portable ovens to the Memorial Centre Farmers’ Market to see what people thought of our pizza. People seemed to really like our pies and soon we were hosting regular pop-ups at cafes and breweries. We soon realized that if we really wanted to make the best product we needed our own kitchen space and a wood fired oven.

That’s when we found 213 Montreal Street, former home of the neighbourhood beloved restaurant New Henry’s. We reinforced the floors, bought a big wood oven, learned to tile and slapped on some paint to brighten up the place.

We love our home and invite you over for some great pizza, awesome wine, cold beer and chill vibes.
